Screen for Success

The More You Know, The Better They Grow

Linden began partnering with Wyoming’s Child Find Network – in association with the Wyoming Department of Health – with the goal to create a campaign that would help alleviate the negative stigma surrounding early childhood developmental screenings. The campaign, which we titled Screen for Success, is now a robust, ongoing public awareness effort that sheds a positive light on the screening process, showcases the benefits of early developmental screening (because “the more you know, the better they grow”), recognizes real Wyoming families and child care centers, directs families to additional educational resources and opportunities in Wyoming, and connects child care providers with one another.

Content Creation but Make it Mean Something

In order to spread the Screen for Success message, and to get our audiences to pay attention, Linden is constantly and consistently developing new content. We have done interviews and created unique videos with Wyoming parents, child care providers and kids, created printed materials like brochures and posters for child care centers, we distribute a monthly informational newsletter to providers and families and, every quarter, we create new resources regarding screenings and the stages of early childhood development. These are shared with the online community we’re building with Screen for Success through social media, and hosted on screenforsuccess.org, a simple and user-friendly website Linden designed and developed.

We have also designed Screen for Success branded collateral that child care centers across Wyoming distribute to the families in their care.

While that sounds like a lot of content, and it is, each piece is carefully thought out and strategically created with audience education in mind; each piece has a purpose. The informational graphics we create, for instance, cover what the Stages of Development are as well as what they look like in real life, in terms of milestones that parents can watch their kids reach.

The coloring book we created was meant to keep families entertained – during screening times at their local centers or at home – as well as teach them fun things about Wyoming and developmental screenings, all while practicing skills that fall under the Motor & Physical Stage of Development. Even the collateral pieces – the bibs and bags and bottles – are useful. The Screen for Success brand doesn’t go on just anything; the Screen for Success campaign has a purpose, and so does its materials.
